eWaste recycling is mandatory in the following twenty-five states: California, Connecticut, Hawaii, Illinois, Indiana, Maine, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Texas, Utah, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, West Virginia and Wisconsin.

Even though eWaste recycling hasn’t been made mandatory in your state, you should still try to recycle your electronics whenever possible.
