Yes. Many items customers request to be removed are large, heavy, or awkward to handle. For safety and efficiency, every job requires two people: the primary Loader and a helper. This ensures items are moved without injury, property damage, or delays. Having a helper also allows jobs to be completed faster, providing a better experience for both Loaders and customers.
Using only a pickup truck is possible, but it may not always be sufficient. Many scheduled jobs involve items that exceed the capacity of a standard truck bed. For efficiency and to avoid multiple trips, Loaders are highly encouraged to use a trailer attached to their truck. A trailer ensures all items can be safely transported in a single trip, reducing effort and saving time for both the Loader and the customer.
Yes, certain types of insurance are required to be on the platform. Auto insurance is mandatory for all Loaders to ensure safe and legal transport of customer items. General liability insurance is optional but recommended, as it can help Loaders qualify for more jobs and provide extra protection in case of property damage. Any workers’ compensation or occupational accident coverage must follow your state’s specific regulations to remain compliant.
Loaders are recommended to use vehicles that are less than 15 years old, as newer vehicles are generally more reliable and able to handle the demands of hauling heavy items. Older vehicles may still be accepted if they are in good mechanical condition and capable of safely transporting customer items. The platform evaluates vehicles based on safety, reliability, and suitability for jobs rather than strictly by model year.
No. Loaders have full flexibility and can complete as many or as few orders as they choose. Customers select service windows such as morning, afternoon, evening, or all day, allowing Loaders to work around their own schedules. This setup lets you pick jobs that fit your availability without committing to a full day unless you want to.
Loaders can stay informed by joining the official Loader Facebook Group. This community allows Loaders to connect directly with the LoadUp team, share tips, discover new revenue opportunities, and receive updates on app improvements and platform changes. Engaging in the group helps you stay ahead on operational updates, best practices, and opportunities to grow your business while fostering a supportive Loader network.
Earnings for Loaders depend on factors such as geography, the types of items being removed, the number of items per job, and the specific services requested. Some Loaders handle multiple orders in a single day, while others complete fewer jobs based on their schedule. Average payouts typically range from $55 to $200 per order, with many Loaders earning $2,000 or more per week when consistently completing multiple jobs. Individual earnings vary based on efficiency, local demand, and service volume.
Loaders receive payouts on a regular schedule. Purchase orders are processed and sent every Tuesday, except on federal holidays. Timely payment ensures Loaders can rely on consistent income while managing their schedules. It’s important to keep account and tax information up to date to avoid delays in payment processing.
Loaders are paid through secure merchant services that accept credit card payments, including platforms like Square, QuickBooks, and Stripe. Payments are processed electronically, making it convenient and fast. Standard service fees may apply depending on the payment platform used, so it’s recommended to review the terms of the chosen service to understand any associated costs.
Yes! Loaders can earn additional income through customer tips. Tips are 100% passed directly to you, with the average tip around $20 per order. Providing excellent service, being courteous, arriving on time, and communicating accurate ETAs can significantly increase tipping likelihood, with customers up to six times more likely to tip under these conditions. These incentives reward professionalism and enhance overall earnings.
Loaders can increase earnings by accepting more jobs and completing them efficiently. Donating items in good, reusable condition is free for the customer and can help save disposal costs, making jobs faster and more profitable. Monitoring the app for high-demand or ideal jobs allows Loaders to optimize their schedule, and maintaining high customer feedback scores can qualify you for recognition programs that often lead to more tips and higher overall earnings.
Loaders receive notifications of available jobs in their area through the LoadUp Loader App. You can review job details, including location, item types, and service windows, and then accept the jobs that fit your schedule or decline those that don’t. This system allows Loaders to manage their workload, optimize earnings, and maintain flexibility.
