Started with a phone call.
Built for everyone.
Before LoadUp, Greg Workmon was working inside sales at one of the nation’s largest waste management companies. Day after day, he fielded calls from people who just needed to get rid of an old mattress — and had nowhere to turn. The big waste companies wouldn’t touch them, and the junk removal franchises that would used convoluted pricing tactics designed to overcharge people once the truck was already at the door.
Greg founded LoadUp in 2014 with a simple fix: show customers the price before the truck shows up. Using a crowdsourced marketplace of independent, licensed and insured haulers — called Loaders — LoadUp built a leaner supply chain that charges an average of 20–30% less than competitors, with no compromise on quality or coverage.
Today LoadUp is the only junk removal company that offers guaranteed upfront pricing nationwide, with 1,800+ Loader teams operating across 18,000+ US cities. LoadUp is also a certified Great Place to Work® — six years running.
The old way was broken.
We fixed it.
Junk removal didn’t have to be this frustrating. We just decided to do something about it.
Price revealed on arrival
The truck shows up first. Then they quote. You can’t negotiate — the junk is already on the lawn.
Endless phone tag
Getting a quote meant calling, waiting for a callback, and hoping someone showed up.
Everything went to landfill
Nobody was thinking about where your stuff actually ended up. Landfill was always the default.
Upfront price, always
See your exact price before you book. It never changes when the hauler arrives.
Book in 60 seconds online
Select your service, enter your zip, see the price, pick a date. Done. Same-day available.
Donate & recycle first
We partner with local charities and recycling facilities. Landfill is always the last resort.
What we stand for
Four principles that guide every decision we make — from product to people to the planet.
Profit Drives Purpose
Running a profitable business gives us the opportunity to fulfill our professional and personal purpose. Profit isn’t the goal — it’s the vehicle.
Own It
Everyone has a stake in the company and is responsible for their own performance. No excuses. No finger-pointing. Just ownership.
Action Over Words
Words are important — but one intentional action trumps a thousand of them. We move, we build, we execute. We don’t just talk about it.
Build to Last
We play the long game in every decision we make. LoadUp is built to withstand the test of time — not just the next quarter.
Greg Workmon,
Founder & CEO
Greg Workmon is the Founder and CEO of LoadUp — an innovative tech platform that streamlined the junk removal supply chain to make disposal more convenient, affordable, and transparent for consumers and e-commerce retailers alike.
Greg started the company in 2014 — and was personally the very first Loader. He built LoadUp from a one-man operation into a nationwide platform with 1,800+ Loader teams, 575,000+ customers served, and a certified Great Place to Work® culture six years running.
LoadUp also partners with major e-commerce retailers — including Leesa and Bear Mattress — to offer old-item removal as a competitive edge at no cost to the customer.
We don’t have employees.
We have Loaders.
LoadUp is the only junk removal company that uses crowdsourcing to recruit independent, licensed and insured hauling professionals — called Loaders. On one side, customers who need junk gone. On the other, thousands of Loader teams who run their own businesses on our platform, setting their own schedules and building real income on their own terms.
This leaner, more efficient supply chain allows LoadUp to charge an average of 20–30% less than competitors — with no compromise on quality or coverage. It’s the engine behind everything we do.
