Before your Loaders arrive, back up any files you want to keep and wipe or remove your hard drive. If the computer is part of a wired or mounted setup, have it disconnected and ready to go so pickup stays quick and simple.

Your Loaders can pick up laptops, desktop computers, computer towers, all-in-one machines, MacBooks, iMacs, Chromebooks, and monitors. Keyboards, mice, and other peripherals can be included as well. The main exceptions are computers still hardwired or rack-mounted in a server setup, since your Loaders handle physical removal but not IT teardown or electrical disconnection.
Back up any files you want to keep and wipe your hard drive before your Loaders arrive. You can also physically remove the hard drive if you prefer. Your Loaders handle the physical removal of the device only and do not perform data wiping, data destruction, or hard drive removal, so taking care of that beforehand is your responsibility.
Yes, your Loaders can pick up computers that no longer power on or are otherwise broken. The device does not need to be functional for pickup. The one exception is a device with a visibly leaking or swollen battery, which cannot be accepted for safety reasons.
Your Loaders direct old computers and laptops toward recycling or reuse when local options are available. The outcome depends on the condition of the device and what recycling or refurbishment resources exist in your area, so a specific destination cannot be guaranteed. No donation receipt or tax documentation is provided.
That depends on the pickup type you book. If you choose curbside pickup, you do not need to be home as long as the device is in an accessible outdoor location before your Loaders arrive. If you book in-home pickup, someone must be present to provide access so your Loaders can carry the device out from inside.
